Listening Sessions - Executive Summary

Posted Date: 11/21/23 (7:04 AM)

Good morning, SACS families and caregivers.

As part of Southwest Allen County Schools' (SACS) ongoing efforts to enhance school climate and create an optimal learning environment for all students, we would like to share with you the Executive Summary from the recent Listening Sessions conducted by the Foundation Against Racism and Intolerance (FAIR).

On October 11 and 12, FAIR hosted six tailored listening sessions for faculty, secondary students, district administrators, and SACS parents and caregivers. All 44 guardians who signed up, along with 79 other participants, actively participated in these constructive community dialogues.

Please click here to find the Executive Summary of these sessions.

While SACS is in the process of developing an action plan, the report highlights both strengths and areas for improvement. The findings will guide future plans and priorities with the goal of not only improving the learning environment but also nurturing a community where everyone has a strong sense of belonging in our schools.

We will continue to share our plans, programming, and progress.

Thank you,
Park Ginder, Ph.D., Superintendent
