Dear SACS Families,
What a wonderful first day of school! Our buildings were filled with the excitement of students returning, the joy of reconnecting with friends and teachers, and the energy that comes with beginning a new school year. It was a great reminder of what makes Southwest Allen County Schools such a special place.
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I want to thank you for the trust you place in us each day. We know that sending your child to school is one of the greatest responsibilities entrusted to us, and we are honored to partner with you in supporting their growth, learning, and success.
Our schools are more than just buildings. They are communities where students are known, valued, encouraged, and challenged to become their best selves. Every day, our teachers, support staff, and administrators work to create experiences where students feel a sense of belonging and have opportunities to discover their passions, build confidence, and create lasting memories.
During our Teacher Welcome Back celebration Monday, we shared this special video featuring some of our students talking about what school means to them. The video was created as a reminder of our “why”: the reason we come to work each day. In the excitement of a new school year, we never want to lose sight of the most important part of what we do: the students we serve. Their voices remind us that every interaction matters. A kind word from a teacher, a welcoming smile in the hallway, a lesson that sparks curiosity, or the encouragement to try something new can make a lasting impact on a child’s life.
As we look ahead to the year to come, please know that our entire SACS team is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every student. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of being part of your child’s journey.
