What is the SACS Education Foundation Award?
The Education Foundation Award is an annual scholarship program designed to help youth explore possibilities and pursue enrichment activities outside of school.
The Education Foundation Award is open to ALL SACS students,
grades K-12, pursuing a chance to enrich themselves and
their talents, and to receive scholarship money to fund it.
Who and What is Eligible?
- Are you an aspiring musician and/or future Broadway star with hopes to attend Rock Camp or theater camp?
- Are you an athlete planning to attend camps to hone in your athletic skills while developing leadership skills?
- Is your hope to complete Drivers Education but need help with class fees?
- Maybe you want to construct a multi-platform video game system or learn computer programming but need to learn the basics?
The sky is the limit - the scholarships are unrestricted and
are available to all SACS students, grades K-12.
How it Works
Any SACS student is encouraged to apply to receive up to $500 toward their activity.
The annual application process typically opens in March and Award Recipients are notified the last week of April. Applications are reviewed by the SACS Education Foundation's Board Members and a Selection Committee.
A total of $5,000 in scholarships is awarded annually and will be split amongst all SACS schools and all grade levels.
How to Apply
The 2022 application window is now closed. Next year, interested applicants should complete an online application (open during annual application window) and upload a written essay (up to 300 words) or upload a video essay (up to two minutes in length).
